Group Excursions
Every year, we invite large groups of people to experience our heritage railroad ride through the stunning Allegheny Mountains. The journey takes you on a 1410-foot elevation climb from Cumberland, Maryland to Frostburg, Maryland, offering breathtaking views of Mountain Maryland along the way. The train route includes iconic points of interest and the famous Brush Tunnel, all following the Great Allegheny Passage.
During our layover, you'll have 90 minutes to explore the historic town of Frostburg, which boasts unique shops, restaurants, and small businesses. If you're lucky, you may also get the chance to visit the Thrasher Carriage Museum on select dates.
Groups of 30 or more get a 10% discount off Coach, Open Air, Table, or Lunch Classes of service on our Frostburg Flyer Trains. Our packages include a ticket for your bus driver and tour escort. Groups must be booked by July 30th to receive a discount on Fall train rides after September 15.
